Cara Allcare Pharmacy is seeking an experienced and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our growing Care Home Pharmacy Team in Dún Laoghaire. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacy professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality patient support and medication services. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting care home pharmacy operations, managing designated care home accounts, processing prescriptions, and building strong relationships with healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities Process prescriptions and medication orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all items are prepared for pharmacist verification in line with pharmacy procedures and patient safety requirements. Manage designated care home accounts and ensure timely, professional, and high-quality service delivery. Build and maintain strong professional relationships with pharmacists, GPs, nurses, care home staff, and other healthcare professionals to support effective patient care and medication management. Operate pharmacy dispensing systems, including McLernons, MPS, or equivalent pharmacy software, while supporting efficient dispensary workflow and accurate data entry. Maintain accurate patient, prescription, and medication records while ensuring confidentiality and regulatory compliance. Support stock management activities, including inventory control, medication traceability, automated dispensing systems, and expiry date monitoring to ensure operational efficiency and patient safety. Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), pharmacy regulations, and healthcare standards within a regulated pharmacy environment. Assist with the day-to-day operation of the dispensary, prioritising workload effectively and supporting colleagues when required. Demonstrate strong organisational, communication, and time-management skills while working independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Support medication management processes and respond to pharmacy-related queries in a timely and professional manner. Maintain a clean, organised, and audit-ready pharmacy environment in line with operational and compliance standards.
