Donegal Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Gardener to support the ongoing upkeep and presentation of a large private estate based in the Ballybofey area. This is a hands-on, outdoor role suited to someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys maintaining high standards across landscaped grounds. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of the estate grounds, ensuring they are well-kept, tidy, and presentable throughout the year. This includes routine garden maintenance as well as seasonal tasks. Key Responsibilities Grass cutting, lawn care, edging, and general turf maintenance Hedge trimming, pruning, and shaping of trees and shrubs Planting, maintaining, and caring for flowers, plants, borders, and beds General grounds maintenance including paths, driveways, and outdoor areas Weed control and general garden tidiness Operating and maintaining gardening tools and equipment Identifying plant health issues and reporting any concerns Working to seasonal plans and adapting tasks as required throughout the year About You Previous experience in gardening, grounds maintenance, or landscaping Good knowledge of plants, shrubs, and seasonal garden care Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards Full driving licence preferred What’s on Offer A stable, estate-based role with varied outdoor work Opportunity to work across well-maintained grounds in a rural setting Competitive pay based on experience If you are a practical, hardworking gardener who enjoys keeping outdoor spaces looking their best, we would like to hear from you.
