General Responsibilities Provide care to residents ensuring their independence is promoted and that residents’ dignity is always maintained. This will involve following your clients care plan - assistance with personal care and mobility. Excellent observational skills are very important. Developing and maintaining good relationships with residents and their families. Ensuring resident safety through a high level of observation skills, accurate recording & reporting. Deliver high quality care and assistance to our residents as per their Care Plan – personal care, toileting, moving & transferring. Observe, listen and engage with residents. Adhere to Health & Safety and Infection Prevention and Control regulations. Qualifications and Skills EU nationality/EU Passport (50/50 rule: Irish regulations require that at least 50% of staff in nursing homes are EU citizens). FETAC/QQI Level 5 qualification in healthcare or Equivalent is required to work as a Healthcare Assistant with our group or any experience working in a healthcare environment Intermediate level of English (spoken and written) Availability to work varied shift patterns days, nights & weekends, across Monday to Sunday is essential. Practical experience in a caring capacity desired. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
