We are seeking 2 experienced Concrete Shuttering Carpenters to join our construction team. The successful candidates will be responsible for constructing, installing, and dismantling formwork (shuttering) used for reinforced concrete structures on commercial, industrial, and civil engineering projects while ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard. Key Duties and Responsibilities Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications. Measure, cut, assemble, and install timber and proprietary formwork systems. Construct and erect formwork for foundations, columns, walls, beams, slabs, staircases, and other reinforced concrete structures. Install and align shutters, supports, braces, and falsework. Ensure formwork is level, plumb, and correctly positioned before concrete is poured. Dismantle and remove shuttering after concrete has cured without damaging materials. Carry out minor repairs and maintenance to formwork materials and equipment. Work safely in accordance with company health and safety procedures. Collaborate effectively with engineers, supervisors, steel fixers, and concrete crews. Maintain a clean and organised work area. Key Requirements: Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience as a Concrete Shuttering Carpenter or Formwork Carpenter. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications. Experience using timber and proprietary formwork systems (such as Doka, Peri, or similar). Good knowledge of reinforced concrete construction methods. Competent in the safe use of hand and power tools. Good understanding of construction site health and safety practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physically fit and capable of performing manual work. Good communication skills in English. A recognised carpentry qualification or apprenticeship is desirable but not essential where substantial relevant experience can be demonstrated.
