YMCA Dublin is looking for a Community Employment Supervisor to oversee the running of the Community Employment Scheme. Key Responsibilities: To ensure the effective and efficient management and co-ordination of the human, financial and material resources of the CE Scheme and report to the Sponsoring Committee on its implementation. A core aspect of the role is to support and coach CE participants towards gaining the skills, competencies and qualifications in preparation for employment. Tasks include, but not limited to: Ensure the provision of an efficient financial and accounting system in line with CE corporate governance requirements as directed by the Sponsoring Organisation. Ensure that financial returns i.e. wages claims, materials claims, and participant development grant claims meet Welfare Partners standards. Carry out an identification of learner needs with individual participants as required, as part of the Individual Learner Plan process. Identify needs and source and co-ordinate cost effective training/development opportunities in line with Department procurement guidelines. Co-ordinate the recruitment of CE applicants in accordance with the Department’s CE recruitment and referral processes. Provide a safe and healthy environment for participants - both in terms of facilities and work practices. A full list of tasks can be found in the job description Employment Details: Salary: Pay Point 1 €743.49 (Funding based on DSP grant funding scale). Hours: 39 hours per week (exclusive of breaks) Schedule: Supervisor should be available at peak and essential times to suit the nature of the work being completed by CE participants Location: Ability to choose primary Hub of choice, however as this role supports the broader organisational network, flexibility is key and periodic rotation or scheduled days at other Hubs will be a requirement. Drivers License: Car and clean drivers license preferable. Personal and Professional Attributes: Minimum of 3 years supervisory and people management experience in relevant fields. A major third-level qualification (NFQ level 6 or higher) in Business/Financial Administration, Training, Human Resources, Project Management or related disciplines is preferable and not strictly required. Knowledge and understanding of CE Programme delivery, project management, and the role of a CE Supervisor. Strong interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills. Experience working with vulnerable individuals and jobseekers, with the ability to direct, motivate, and mentor jobseekers. Competency in people management and computer literate skills.
